The WARDEN Rover was an advanced modular research platform that demonstrated several unique technologies that were developed in-house. I was chiefly responsible for the Wheg locomotion system, the modular frame, and the exterior surfacing work. This was a group project done by about 30 interns, and I must thank them for being such a great team.

The development of the WARDEN took time. My big role was experimenting with and proving the efficacy of novel locomotion systems that could allow the rover to surmount larger obstacles. I was in charge of a team of 5 people for adapting existing research and technology to create a more capable rover. In the end, much of my research had a major impact on the design of the Rover and how it functioned.
