Induction-powered base heats the cookware evenly and directly. It is more powerful than gas while still putting out less dangerous fumes and using less energy. The base can function as just an Induction Cooktop, but each Official proposed top would bring up a contextual menu that is more suited to the piece on top. A Wok would operate at higher temps than this for example and would have settings for Fried Rice. A Belgian Waffle Pan would instead just have a timer.
