HIVE is an open-source modular furniture system designed to provide a custom 3D piece of Furniture to its end users that can be endlessly and easily reused through the use of cam lock connectors. Modulus- Carboard that goes Boing!
2023
Assignment- You have 2 weeks to come up with a unique and fully functional piece of Cardboard furniture. You may only use cardboard and adhesive, like the Frank Ghery wiggle chair. I decided to draw inspiration from an old engineering lesson I liked about a property of materials called Young's Modulus. In short, any given material like steel or wood has a point where it can bend and snap back elastically without damage. I decided to find out what that limit was for cardboard and design something around it. The result was cardboard that bounces like a spring and acts more like a cushion! This won the Best in Show award at the NJIT IDSA SHOWCASE which had about 50 projects!
PolySake set
2023
Assignment- Create a mass-producible ceramic product. Learn methods of mass production in ceramics and create a reusable mold In a Ceramics art class, my professor gave me a unique assignment tailored to my major better than just sculpting a final artwork. I would instead be tasked to develop and create a reusable mold that could make many copies of a product. Having taken a liking to Sake, I decided to come up with a unique matching set of Tokuri (Flask) and Ochoko (The small cup).
ECO-OK-Donabine- An Ecofreindly Crockpot

So I decided to research and design an energy-efficient piece of cookware This is a hybrid of 2 pieces of foreign cookware. Namely, The Energy efficient Japanese Donabe, and the flavorful Morrocan Tagine. ECO-OK is a proposed brand of Eco-friendly and easily repairable small appliances that use a universal energy efficient Induction base and swappable tops that bring up contextual menus on said base.
Macro/Phage-A light against Covid
2023
Assignment- Make a set of lamps, one for tables and desks, and one for the floor. This assignment occurred right as Covid hit in 2020. This project has a story to it that we were all a part of in recent years. When Covid first hit in 2020, my studio class at CCM was in the middle of a lighting assignment. Given that stores were closed and we lost a lot of time in the semester we were told to improvise and complete the project in the best way we could. In my anger at the enemy we know as Covid, I decided to use my design skills to make a set of lamps for hospitals that could help to "Flatten the Curve".
PYB Inflatable helmet
2023
Assignment- Identify a market opportunity and create a company and product that is ready to be launched. A focus on branding was made in addition to normal design. The Pyb Helmet came out of a "motion" studio. My Idea was to protect people's heads while they ride rental E-Scooters or commute via personal mobility devices via easily packable helmets. Most Rentals do not come with a helmet, my research showed that even if provided many do not wear them because they don't like the look or comfort. The PYB is designed to provide an alternative form of head protection that can be used to reduce impacts on a user's head while being very packable and dispensable from E-scooters.
